What Not To Eat When You’ve Got An Active Bladder

Is your bladder excessively active? Do you feel like you are always getting up to go to the restroom? Have you tried out all kinds of things in an attempt to end those frequent trips to the restroom when you are at work? Most people imagine that it is the intake of fluid that impacts the amount of relief our bladders need during the day. This is the reason that so many people end up inadvertently dehydrating themselves in their attempts to stay out of the bathroom.

Would you believe that it is sometimes what you might be eating which might be causing you to frequently visit the restroom during the day? The simple fact is that a “number one” bathroom break is merely another way for your body to rid itself of waste. You will make this waste product from both liquid and also solid foods. The waste you get rid of can be from things that are each liquid and solid–it doesn’t matter what form it is in when you eat or drink it.

While Vitamin C is essential for fighting off infections, it has been proven that citrus fruits can bother the bladder. This is mostly due to the fact that plenty of citrus fruits are made up of acid and that’s why they need to be avoided both as solids and as juices. The major sources of this acid tend to be pineapples (which isn’t technically a citrus fruit but is equally irritating to your system), lemons, tangerines, grapefruits and oranges. You should choose bananas, apples, pears and berries to get sufficient Vitamin C each day.

This might seem a little bit traumatizing but if your bladder is excessively energetic, you shouldn’t consume a lot of chocolate. Chocolate includes caffeine in it. The bladder just isn’t a lover of caffeine and will make you take lots of potty breaks if you take in too much of it. This is just as true pertaining to caffeinated drinks. If you have been making a lot of trips to the toilet you need to stay away from all forms of caffeine. Choose dark chocolate and also decaffeinated liquids as a substitute.

Foods which have high concentrations of spiciness can also be greatly irritating to your bladder. This could be hard to accept for people who like spicy meals but if you don’t want to spend your entire night going to the toilet, you want to avoid the foods that are spiciest like wasabi sauce, spicy nachos, etc. If eating the food causes your eyes and nose to get runny, it is going to make other parts of your body runny. Choose less spicy versions of those foodsthat way you will get the flavor without the irritation of your bladder.

We typically believe that if it’s liquid when it comes out it must have been liquid when it went in. This is totally not true. What comes out of our bodies is just the elements of what we have eaten that our bodies cannot use and it releases that extra stuff (also called waste) in whatever manner is the most convenient for it.
