On Sunday, the Sadak 2 movie trailer became the most-disliked video on YouTube, surpassing YouTube Rewind 2018, which had previously held the title since December 13, 2018. For the first time in twenty months, YouTube Rewind 2018 has lost its title as the most-disliked video of all time. The movie trailer, which was published on August 12, has over 19.3 million dislikes, as compared to only 1.07 million likes. The dislikes are growing rapidly by the minute, and it shows no signs of stopping. Justin Bieber, 26, took a breath of relief yesterday when his infamous 2010 video “Baby” was surpassed by the movie trailer, falling to number three on the list of most-disliked videos. The movie trailer has been rapidly climbing the charts in the past four days, reaching 3.6 million dislikes in only 12 hours and 7.4 million dislikes in 36 hours. The most fascinating thing about these disliked videos is that they seem to crop up out of thin air with little or no warning. As recently as one week ago, this video didn’t exist and YouTube Rewind 2018’s title at number one seemed unlikely to be threatened. One day, the list can seem fairly stable and the next day, a brand new video could be in the top ten or even the top five. When the page was first created on Wikipedia in late April 2016, it looked very different from how it does today. While “Baby” has stood the test of time and remains in the top three, “Friday” and “Cortando,” which were number 2 and number 3 back then, are now at number 15 and number 26, respectively. “Baby” had about 6.06 million views when the page was created in the spring of 2016. At that time, no other video came even close to that figure. As of August 2020, there are two videos with more dislikes than “Baby,” and four videos (not counting “Baby” itself) that have more than 6.06 million dislikes.
